Last week, indie-pop chanteuse, Zella Day, released brand new track ‘Man On The Moon,’ her first new song since the release of her debut album KICKER, last year. The track will see a release as part of a AA-side 7″ single pressed on limited edition white sparkle vinyl via B3SCI Records in November. The 21-year-old, Arizona-native, Zella Day, broke out big-time at 2016’s Coachella and recently wrapped-up a national tour with Fitz & The Tantrums performing standout singles ‘East of Eden,’ ‘Compass’ and ‘Hypnotic’ from her debut album.
‘Man On The Moon’ finds the poetic Day at her songwriting best. The track is an ambient, psychedelic pop voyage floating atop relaxed, folksy waves. Day memorizes with seductive vocals and transcendent lyrics that melt into hypnotizing euphoria. The ethereal tone is light and soothing with flashes of whimsical energy as the track resonates with “sun-drenched psychedelia.”
Zella Day is currently in the studio working on a sophomore album, due out 2017. ‘Man On The Moon’ will be released on 7” vinyl on November 18.
