Last week, Miami-based, Peruvian 4-piece, Hunters of the Alps, released their debut single ‘Time (How to Love)’ via All Things Go. The nu wave, indie electronic outfit led by vocalist Mario Giancarlo Garibaldi and guitarist Jorge Velásquez, have rocked festivals like III Points and Transatlantic Festival and have shared the stage with artists such as Twin Shadow and Tanlines. The band has also been chosen to open for Unknown Mortal Orchestra next week at Converse Rubber Tracks Live.
‘Time (How to Love)’ is a fresh, revitalization of nostalgic 80’s synth-pop driven by a thudding bassline and quick electronic chords all checked within a methodical background clap. The starry, atmospheric track is grounded by Giancarlo Garibaldi’s soft, synthesized howl while Velásquez delivers a rich guitar solo during intermission of the heavy lyrics.
“Time (How To Love)” is the first single from the band’s debut EP, slated for a 2017 release via Mishu Records. The band is currently in Lima working on their video for ‘Time (How to Love)’.
